Back-to-School Reading

Okay, Labor Day (and summer) has come and gone, and the kids are back at school.  And you know what that means? New books.

Me, I've got Goliath by Scott Westerfeld pre-ordered.

Amazon blurb:
Alek and Deryn are on the last leg of their round-the-world quest to end World War I, reclaim Alek’s throne as prince of Austria, and finally fall in love. The first two objectives are complicated by the fact that their ship, the Leviathan, continues to detour farther away from the heart of the war (and crown). And the love thing would be a lot easier if Alek knew Deryn was a girl. (She has to pose as a boy in order to serve in the British Air Service.) And if they weren’t technically enemies.

The tension thickens as the Leviathan steams toward New York City with a homicidal lunatic on board: secrets suddenly unravel, characters reappear, and nothing is at it seems in this thunderous conclusion to Scott Westerfeld’s brilliant trilogy.

So what are you looking forward to this fall?  (You have, of course, already bought The Eleventh Plague, right?)

There are so many good books coming out its hard to pick. I'm excited about Vanish by Apportion Jordan & Sweet Venom by Terse Lynn Childs that came out Tuesday. And then there is Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. Oh and Crossed. See and I know I forgot so many!

I hadn't heard of this trilogy but I'll be picking it up! Sounds awesome. I love WWI and WWII era settings.

Loved the first two books. Such a fun adventure for all ages. The one book I'm dying for this fall is the 3rd Maze Runner.
